ALL PANTS ARE MADE EXTRA LONG ON PURPOSE TO BE HEMMED; LEFT UNHEMMED, THEY CAN FIT WEARERS UP TO AROUND 6’6”.
100% cotton, 14oz canvas
Machine wash cold with like colors, use mild detergent, turn inside out, hang dry (or tumble low), and iron on medium as needed.
100% cotton, each pair requires roughly 2,800 liters of water to grow the cotton. The fabric is finished to a white through a bleaching process, which, while lighter than full dyeing, still involves strong oxidizing agents. Most mills use hydrogen peroxide, a safer option, but some still rely on chlorine-based bleaches, which can create harmful AOX compounds in wastewater if not treated properly. From crop to closet, the pants carry an estimated 2–3 kg of CO2. Farming contributes a meaningful portion due to fertilizer and field emissions, and weaving the dense canvas adds the largest share. Cut-and-sew production is completed in a certified factory in China. Shipping the finished pants by sea adds only 0.05–0.08 kg of CO2, followed by another 0.05–0.1 kg of CO2 for domestic delivery within the U.S. Because the garment contains no synthetic fibers, it sheds zero plastic microfibers when washed, and the cotton canvas will naturally biodegrade at end-of-life—leaving only small metal components behind. Aluminum rivets and buttons add a modest footprint, but are recyclable and built for long-term use. Every order ships in recycled paper or certified-compostable packaging, avoiding traditional polybags. Packaging contributes 0.1–0.3 kg of CO2, and all materials are designed to re-enter recycling or compost systems without leaving permanent plastic waste. Fully biodegradable, highly recyclable, and built to last, these canvas pants offer long-term durability with a significantly lower impact than the average pair—even with overseas sewing, and even accounting for the realities of cotton bleaching chemistry.
